Content and design features of the CM Studio 2012 /CE-SERVER include:

  • Content management system - Powerful web content management capabilities allow developers and site administrators focus on delivering optimal solutions to meet their unique business requirements rather than coding a custom content management system. The CM Studio 2012 Content Management Server allows users to easily create pages, add or customize page elements, upload and display files, change the look and feel of their web site, or carry out any common web site administration or content management task.

  • CM Studio 2012 ADD-ON modules - A broad range of CM Studio plug-in apps can be used to provide additional functionality. The CM Studio 2012 /CE-SERVER includes more than fundamental features which provide functionality such as content related page sections, forms, discussions, FAQs, and weblogs. The ADD-ON modules modules can be grouped to form a complete public web site, an extranet solution, or intranet pages.

CM Studio .ADD-ON modules are available from www.masch.com or by your Internet and Web-Developer. Users can also easily change the look of a site using design templates. Those design templates can be easily created by your own web-designer and are widely available from MASCH's design library site.

  • Core platform written in PHP - The CM Studio 2012 engine platform is written in PHP, which simplifies the customization of the CM Studio 2012 server application to meet specific business needs. To encourage flexibility, developers can build extensions under any PHP compatible framework they choose.

  • CLOUD compatible - CM Studio 2012 is the ideal platform for CLOUD solutions. It also supports all with its own Resource Management Server a complete folder provider options that can be used to store files in the cloud.

  • Site settings - Administrators can define the title of your site and manage search engine descriptions (metadata) and submissions, user welcome messages, logos, backgrounds, and skins.

  • Stylesheets - Built-in stylesheets deliver pages with a uniform appearance. Stylesheets can be configured to modify elements such as font type, color, bullet points, and background color.

  • Body background - An image or color can be added to the background of all tabs to further customize the look of your site.

  • File management - Administrators can upload files directly from their computers to the integrated Resource Management Server of CM Studio 2012. Uploaded files are instantly available for use on the site and are also listed via the integrated link module that handles documents and file downloads.

  • Archive bin - Users can access any content, module, or page that has been deleted and restore it to its original location.

Administration and security features of CM Studio 2012 /CE-SERVER include:

  • Single installation, multiple portals - Using CM Studio 2012 .MULTISITE extension module, CM Studio 2012 supports multiple portals or web sites using one single database and one central administration interface. CM Studio 2012 /CE-SERVER installed on a web server can support multiple web sites through a single hosting account, ideal for providing sub-hosting services to memberships or for organizations providing departmental web sites. You simply require for each sub-site a unique license key.

CM Studio ADD-ON Modules can be licensed individual for each sub-site based on the individual demand.

  • Host and Administrator accounts - Separating host from administrator accounts allows for efficient administration. Logging in as Host, equal to the master admin account, allows users to manage settings related to site hosting, including database connection, language support, demo period/expiration dates etc. The master admin can access a list of all hosted sites and their individual hosting information, and can edit, modify, or delete a specific site. Logging in as a regular Administrator or Operator lets users manage their own site by editing, modifying, or deleting their site settings and the site content but does not provide access to other sites operating under the same host.

  • Security roles and protected content - Administrators can define and assign roles for different user groups such as registered users, subscribers, content providers, affiliates etc. They can then grant access and editing rights for each group. Rights can be assigned to an entire site, a single page, or a specific section. Individual users may belong to more than one group. Administrators can also establish separate password-protected areas on their web site to control access.
