Microsoft Deutschland GmbH applied Scan-To-Web Services for CardScan V2.0 overall on their partner stand on CEBIT 2006 in hall 4.

The company CCM Computer Council Munich GmbH developed an application based on Microsoft .NET technology for visitor registration for the IBA (http://www.iba.de/), the biggest leading fair for bakery and confectionary. Visitors had the possibility to register via internet in the run-up to avoid a longer waiting period on the fair grounds with the at home printed ticket.

Unregistered visitors had to accept a longer waiting period but which could be reduced by scanning their business cards through a hostess and process their data electronically.

For the automated processing CardScan business card scanner technology as well as the innovative integration solution Scan-To-Web Services from MASCH were used. The GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH, organizer of the IBA realized an electronically visitor registration for the first time. Due to the resounding success which attracted attention to qualitative very good visitor data as well as cost savings the use of the new visitor management system “easyVisitor” was announced for further fairs by the company CCM Computer Council Munich GmbH .
